With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, many new mamas are looking for easy craft ideas that they can do with their babies. Mama’s, I know you’re busy so I thought I’d save you some time on Pinterest and round up a list of great craft ideas that you and your babe can do together. If you don’t have any craft supplies on hand, or want to stock up, then this is a great set.

Now let’s get to it 😊

Baby Hand or Fingerprint Craft Ideas

Valentine’s day is all about heart and sharing the love with those around you. Make a special heart craft for Mom or Dad, grandparents or aunts and uncles.

Keepsake Heart – Hit the dollar store for a mini easel, or just use plain paper or cardstock to make this adorable heart keepsake. Pick your favourite colours or let your baby exercise her grabbing skills and pick it you 🙂 Pro tip – be sure to use kid-friendly, washable paints.

Handprint Hearts – This is a super easy craft that only requires paper, paint and a cooperative baby. Paint your baby’s hand with a paintbrush or sponge and press their hand on the paper. Wash the first hand (or use a wipe) and then repeat with the other hand. Add in their name, the date and voila; a great Valentine gift for Grandma! Need paint? Pick this set up and be you’re good to go!

Valentine Heart Bouquet – this is a great craft idea if you have older siblings or cousins that want to join in on making a craft. Babies can scrunch up some tissue paper while older kids can cut and glue them on the hearts. Just be sure to keep scissors and small pieces away from the little ones.
