With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, many new mamas are looking for easy craft ideas that they can do with their babies. Mama’s, I know you’re busy so I thought I’d save you some time on Pinterest and round up a list of great craft ideas that you and your babe can do together. If you don’t have any craft supplies on hand, or want to stock up, then this is a great set.
Now let’s get to it 😊
Baby Hand or Fingerprint Craft Ideas
Valentine’s day is all about heart and sharing the love with those around you. Make a special heart craft for Mom or Dad, grandparents or aunts and uncles.
Keepsake Heart – Hit the dollar store for a mini easel, or just use plain paper or cardstock to make this adorable heart keepsake. Pick your favourite colours or let your baby exercise her grabbing skills and pick it you 🙂 Pro tip – be sure to use kid-friendly, washable paints.
Thumbprint Heart Glass Magnets – Adorable little magnets that showcase your little one’s itty bitty fingerprints. Make one, or several to keep or give to family members. A perfect pop of colour for your fridge, with a touch of love.
Handprint Hearts – This is a super easy craft that only requires paper, paint and a cooperative baby. Paint your baby’s hand with a paintbrush or sponge and press their hand on the paper. Wash the first hand (or use a wipe) and then repeat with the other hand. Add in their name, the date and voila; a great Valentine gift for Grandma! Need paint? Pick this set up and be you’re good to go!
Love Bug Finger Print Card – another easy Valentine card idea is this adorable Love Bug card. A few different paint colours, a marker and a little creativity. Boom! A great card that any family member will love.
Baby Footprint Valentine Craft Ideas
We can’t forget about baby’s tiny feet in this Valentine’s Day craft roundup. I love seeing their tiny little toes!
Footprint Heart Craft – A cute Valentine’s Day craft that is great for infants. The most challenging part will be getting your babe to place his or her feet right where you want them on the page!
Love Bug Foot – A cute little valentine to give family members. Perfection isn’t necessary, just make your bugs look somewhat lady like 🙂
I Love You Footprint and Photo – A cute idea that combines a pic of your little one along with their footprint to mark this special moment in time.
Other Valentine’s Day Craft Ideas
Popsicle Stick Valentine Frame – get a little crafty with this cute picture frame made out of popsicle sticks. Add on some stickers and some bling with a few gems and other sparkly things.
Heart Butterfly Craft Pin – If you love butterflies, then this craft is for you. You’ll need a few extra supplies, like googly eyes and pipe cleaners, but worth it to see your baby smile as you make it flutter through the air.

Valentine Heart Bouquet – this is a great craft idea if you have older siblings or cousins that want to join in on making a craft. Babies can scrunch up some tissue paper while older kids can cut and glue them on the hearts. Just be sure to keep scissors and small pieces away from the little ones.
