One of the reasons I started Share The Love Baby Box, was to help others – specifically new moms in need. While shopping for baby gift box ideas, I noticed that there were so many local shops and makers with great stuff that I had never heard about. I decided pretty quickly that I wanted to share the love with local businesses too, so I decided to start looking for local items to include in our baby gift boxes. Currently, we’re happy to include products from Chubby Cheeks and Kozy Kuttings.
Since I love spreading the word about great local companies, today’s post will focus baby gifts from a few more Kitchener-Waterloo area businesses that I have fallen in love with.
Baby Shops in Kitchener-Waterloo
Tadpole Children’s Shoppe
Located in Uptown Waterloo, this little shoppe has beautiful baby and children’s products that you won't find in your typical big box store. The owner is amazing and very helpful.
An eco-friendly baby store located in Kitchener’s Belmont Village, that has stylish clothing, toys, shoes, feeding and bath/body products. I love this store and they’re always doing some type of seasonal giveaway/game/event.
Online Baby Shops based in K-W
An online boutique specializing in modern, handmade items for baby and children. The quality of their items is fantastic, as is their print selection. If you’re looking for teethers, bandana bibs, tag blankets or car seat ponchos, you’ve got to check them out.
Specializing in baby and toddler shoes and booties, this company is another of my finds from a local Etsy event. I was drawn to their print selection and the quality of their products. I’m so happy that we can support them by including their booties in our baby gift boxes.
An online shop that sells clothing and knitwear for littles and their adults. If you need an adorable knit hat for baby, check out their Facebook page.
Bailey Baby Boutique Co
This company makes the coolest grow with me clothing. Are you tired of your babe growing out of their pants or tops within months? Grow with me clothing is the answer - the cuffs and waistband can be folded to size and then turned down as baby grows. I saw them at a local handmade show and couldn’t walk away without picking up a pair of pants for one of our Share The Love Baby Boxes.
Lark Creations
A friend recently sent me a link to this business and I fell in love with their handmade creations. Adorable handmade dolls, beanies, bibs, nursing pads and more. Take a look and get in touch with creator Lisa Kiernander to place an order.
Many of the online shops I listed above also do custom baby gift orders, so be sure to ask if you don’t see something you like.
Do you have a favourite local baby shop or online store? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
And if you’re not into shopping as much as I am, but still need a baby gift, check out some of our Share The Love Baby Boxes – I’ve done the shopping so you don’t have to!
